Here

On April 24th, I premiered my newest work, Here (2016) for instrument and live-electronics, at The Strowd in Chapel Hill, NC. The piece is loosely based on the Robert Creeley poem of the same title, from his 1967 collection of poems, Words. The piece is a guided improvisation for any instrument and electronics; I’ll be using an accordion, a Behringer FCB-1010 midi controller, Ableton Live, and Max/MSP, to create the soundscape demanded by the poem:

Here

What
has happened
makes

the world.
Live
on the edge,

looking.
